How We Choose Companies

The Georgia Shortlist methodology: how we research providers, decide who belongs on a category list and separate editorial judgment from customer ratings.

We rank for project fit, not popularity.

A national brand can be an excellent choice for one problem and a poor fit for another. Our shortlist is designed around the job a buyer is trying to complete.

What earns a company a shortlist position

We look for a clear service model, relevant specialization, enough public detail to understand the scope, a service area that matches the article, practical buyer information and evidence that the business is actively offering the work being evaluated.

What we do not do

How “best” is used

“Best” means our editorial first pick for the category criteria described on that page. It is a comparative judgment, not a universal guarantee. Buyers should still compare written scopes, verify credentials and decide which provider fits their project.

Updates and corrections

Service areas, pricing, staff, warranties and offerings change. We date our research and update pages when we find meaningful new information. If a factual detail is wrong, send the source and we will review it.
